I learned how to drive on an old Oldsmobile that had a squeaky power steering box. No matter what, it still kept working, even though I was buying power steering fluid by the quart. I was too broke at the time to afford to fix the power steering rack. In fact, I had the steering attached to the steering box with epoxy, wire, and a lot of hope.
I couldn’t imagine driving it without power steering because my Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser was as big as a beached pregnant whale. It was big, long and bulky, but the power steering made driving it enjoyable.
It’s not nearly as difficult or as expensive as it used to be to make sure your power steering is in tip top shape. Places like Power Steering Pros have come on the scene offering quality parts at affordable prices.

When I was growing up, my mom would always try to save using the vacuum as much as possible. She was afraid the motor would wear out and she didn’t like spending money on the electricity. She would often times have me and my brother pick up stuff off the floor and then she would use a broom to sweep the carpet. A few times a week she would go ahead and vacuum the floor. I always swore that I would never do that.
Hah! With the way prices are going and with electricity getting more expensive all the time, I am now doing things to save using too much electricity. Can you believe that I am now having my sons get down on the floor and pick up the larger stuff on the floor? Can you believe that I am now using a broom to sweep off the floor? Yes,I am turning ultra frugal, just like my mom. But guess what? I even have went a step further. I am making everyone take off their shoes at the door and use special flip flops in the house so that they don’t track dirt around the house. This is getting to be too much work!
Maybe it is time I look into a Dirt Devil AccuCharge vacuum cleaner. They have got energy efficient models with an Energy Star rating. At least then I could use a vacuum cleaner without worrying so much about power bills.

I have just completed a writing project that required me to write articles about luxury topics. I guess luxury items are a growing business on the net. It means that more and more wealthy individuals are choosing to find their information and do their shopping online.
I really think this means that this could be a juggernaut of a market opening and it could become a very profitable niche for the right person. People have lately been study how to crack the market that center around high net worth individuals and it’s just a mater of time before they find success.

I remember when photo cards first came out, they seemed to be just for Christmas cards. Soon, people started making up photo cards for birthdays and even anniversaries. Now, Photo Cards can be used for any occasion and have even started to replace traditional greeting cards.
As photo cards have expanded for use in more holidays and occasions, at the same time the variety of cards and the availability of these cards have increased. No longer do you need to visit a specialty neighborhood printing house to get nice photo cards made. You can now find the perfect design online and upload your picture to create the perfect photo card. All that’s left is to order them online at a great price, easy peasy.
That’s the advantage of Cards Direct and is one of the reason why people are using cards direct to create photo cards just like the one on the left. It looks really good and since you are getting online and cutting out the middleman, the savings are great. I am looking forward to designing our next family photo card online.
It will be based on our vacation that we had two weeks ago or maybe even on the 4th of July vacation we had last year. It was a lot of fun and I think it would look nice in the photo card design on the left. Last 4th of July, we spent a week visiting relatives in Nevada. It was so much fun and we were even able to let the kids ride on a horse for the first time. My wife was really amazed with the beauty of Lake Tahoe. I think the Blue Star Photo Card would be perfect.
I wonder how a 4th of July greeting card would be? Sounds great to me, but convincing the wife is another story!

I really hate moving! Not only is there the hassles of packing everything up and the hassle of finding a truck to move everything in, but there is also the hassle of unpacking and getting everything into place in the new place. Worse yet, there is the aches and pains of moving.
When you help a friend move, you can avoid many of the issues, but it’s hard to avoid the aches and pains. I managed to get a pinched nerve while helping a friend move this last week. It’s painful and made it impossible to sit down for several days. Now it’s just difficult to walk and a little pain to sit down so I guess it’s an improvement.
I believe it is a pinched sciatic nerve and unfortunately there is no easy treatment for it. I think I will be dealing with the hassles of moving longer than my friend.

I can not believe what is happening with the cost of food lately. I food is now the biggest monthly expenditure in my family’s budget. I have thought lately that we’ve been spending too much on food, but today I decided to run the figures and see for myself. I wish I could say I was surprised with the results.
We now spend more money on food during a month than we spend on rent and utilities, transportation, and even those crazy miscellaneous expenses. We are a family of four and we don’t eat lavishly. I wish I had some good records to see just how much more we are spending for food now than 6 months or a year ago.
I really feel for people in a marginal economic situation. I know when I lived abroad, I know people who would only eat rice with sardines, Malanggay leaves or even just salt. With the way prices are going up, I can imagine that they have no way to cut down on expenses any further and they are just going to resort to being hungry.
I think this means that we will be donating more in our fast offerings using the money we are going to cut from our food budget.
