I am using the Verizon UM150 modem to access the internet these days. It’s kind of an amazing little device that gives internet access wherever there is a cell phone signal. This means that I have internet basically anywhere my laptop is. It also comes with an micro sd slot so that I can put it in memory cards and use it like a portable drive. That’s really a bonus. If you are looking for a decent type of EVDO modem, it might be the one you need. It sure is nice having internet access anywhere.

Me And Cheap Chargers
January 19th, 2009 — Mobile Phones
What’s with me and cheap chargers recently? I have a real cheap Nokia phone that I should have replaced a long time ago, but it keeps working so I keep using it regularly. The problem is that I lost its original charger so I replaced it with one of those cheap chargers. No problem there except that these cheap chargers aren’t lasting very long for me. One just stopped working, another one literally fell apart like someone smashed it, but it was plugged in the entire time?!? Go figure.
I am now on my third cheap charger. Let’s see if this one can last a bit longer for me. How much do you want to bet?
Free Ringtones This Christmas
December 8th, 2008 — Mobile Phones
It’s Christmas season and it’s time to get in the Christmas mood. I can’t think of a better way than surrounding myself with Christmas music. That means not only having Christmas music in the house and my car, but also Christmas ringtones on my cellphone. For the best holiday cheer, I love checking out the free ringtones at bestincellphones.com.
It doesn’t matter what phone or service you have. I can look for free at&t cingular ringtones for my wife. She just loves putting different ringtones on her phone. Since I use Verizon, I prefer looking for free Verizon real music ringtones and they’ve got a great selection of ringtones.
I think it’s kind of amazing the history of the ringtone and how it has become a symbol of our uniqueness. 30 years ago there was a single bell ringtone. No one even called it that. Now, everyone wants something to display their uniqueness.
Take for example my sister, she has a very eclectic taste in music and is constantly changing her ringtone. She uses tmobile. I wonder just how many free tmobile ringtones she has put on her phone? The same goes for my brother. He tries to act like he isn’t being unique, but secretly he tries to with the free Sprint real music ringtones of popular country singers that he puts on his phone.
Anyways, this holiday season is a great time to get free ringtones of your favorite singers. Maybe it’d be a great way to surprise your wife….I know my wife liked hers. Remember, bestincellphones.com is the place to get them all for free.
Replacement for My Motorola
June 23rd, 2008 — Mobile Phones, Technology
I have been doing a lot of looking recently for a replacement for my Motorola L6. I have been very happy with its performance and its usability since I bought, but I’ve had it for a while and it’s long past the time of getting a replacement.
I will probably pass on my Motorola phone to my nephew because he needs a cellphone and the Motorola L6 cellphone will work great for him. Before I can do that, though, I need to get a new cellphone of my own. I want to go with a new Motorola mobile phone since I really love the way they work, but I am having a hard time finding the perfect model.
I guess that’s why I am posting here. Any ideas?
Portable Phone Number
May 14th, 2008 — Business On The Web, Mobile Phones, Technology
I have been interested in VOIP services for awhile, but I never made the leap to buying one of their setups. It seems like they just wanted to sell a boxed setup and charge some fee every month. I have been more interested in a way to get phone calls on my computer and then be able to take it with me wherever I go.
I found a solution in Skype. I signed up for their Skype Pro and got free voicemail and the signed up for a Skpye In number. While it’s not perfect, it does work well for me. I have a portable phone number that I have wherever there is an internet connection.
