Finding Great Cell Phone Deals

It’s getting to be Christmas time and that means it’s gift giving time. It also means that I will be looking at cell phones to buy for myself and my wife. Since I am a comparison shopper and I will look for the best deals, I am sure I will compare cell phone deals from many different cell phone companies.

I have several different models that I am looking at, including the BlackBerry Storm, the ATT Blackberry Bold, and the Samsung Instinct. They are all great smart phones and would work well for my wife and me. I like the features that they have and it means that I don’t have to worry about taking a planner around with me.

I have found one site, ifreecellphones.com, which is a really good help for finding great deals on cellphones. I was able to look up the best deals by brand and the best deals by carrier, such as Verizon Wireless. It’s a great way to ensure that I am going to get a great deal on cell phones. That’s important to me because with economy the way it is, saving money is more important than ever.

Now comes the hard part. Do I go with a Sprint Instinct phone that is just awesome. Should I go with Sprint? Or would I be happier going with a
Verizonwireless Storm? I do like Verizon. So many choices and with Christmas fast approaching, can I make up my mind in time?

Replacement for My Motorola

I have been doing a lot of looking recently for a replacement for my Motorola L6. I have been very happy with its performance and its usability since I bought, but I’ve had it for a while and it’s long past the time of getting a replacement.

I will probably pass on my Motorola phone to my nephew because he needs a cellphone and the Motorola L6 cellphone will work great for him. Before I can do that, though, I need to get a new cellphone of my own. I want to go with a new Motorola mobile phone since I really love the way they work, but I am having a hard time finding the perfect model.

I guess that’s why I am posting here. Any ideas?

Portable Phone Number

I have been interested in VOIP services for awhile, but I never made the leap to buying one of their setups. It seems like they just wanted to sell a boxed setup and charge some fee every month. I have been more interested in a way to get phone calls on my computer and then be able to take it with me wherever I go.

I found a solution in Skype. I signed up for their Skype Pro and got free voicemail and the signed up for a Skpye In number. While it’s not perfect, it does work well for me. I have a portable phone number that I have wherever there is an internet connection.

My Motorola C390

Motorola C390One of the best little phones I have ever had is my Motorola C390. It was originally bought in Asia and meant for outside the US use, but it was easily modified so that it could work in the US as well. It’s the phone I use on an everyday basis.

It is easy to hook up to my Asus EEE so that if I am going to a place without internet access, I can just use it to access the internet because of its built-in GPRS modem. It’s also got bluetooth and a mini-USB plug so that it’s easy to connect to just about any computer.

The color screen is big enough to play downloadable games. In fact, I have a couple of games on it that keep busy when I am sitting around bored to death. More than just games, it also has a ringtone composer and uses true tone ringtones. This makes it easy to use your favorite song as your ring tone.

I like how I don’t have to worry about charging it up all the time. The battery has a long life, I only have to charge it up every other day, unless I am making a lot of calls.

What more can I say? I love my Motorola C390

A New Phone

I want to get a new cell phone. I am not sure what features I want the phone to have, but I am going down to the mall today to look for a new cell phone and see what features or gadgets they have. I want web access on it with a decent WAP browser for sure.

Maybe I can find one. I guess the only thing I need to avoid is spending too much on the phone. If I can avoid that, then maybe I can get what I need without having any buyer’s remorse. I always suffer from buyer’s remorse when I buy something that’s expensive and I really don’t need. I am not sure why that happens? So will it be a Nokia or will I stay with a Motorola? Stay tuned.
