World’s Largest TV

What a couch potato you could be relaxing in front of the World Largest TV. The 150-inch high-definition plasma TV released by Panasonic is largest television out there, but it is a little bit too large to fit in your living room. No word yet on how much they will cost, but it should be very pricey. Their 103 inch TV cost $70,000 when it was released so this will undoubtedly cost just as much. It sure would be an interesting conversation piece in the house.

Luckily, Panasonic does has smaller 50 inch screens and at the CES in Las Vegas, they released a new 42 inch TV that uses half the power of other models. Good deal on that.

TEFLWatch vs the Trolls

As an update to the trolls on the net post, TEFLWatch, a site that helps teachers even the playing field against unscrupulous employers is under attack by some people who it appears are in the employ of a school. Since the anti-teacher brigade are unable to shut down the site, they have instead resorted to attacking the site by making claims that are filled with lies and deceit. I can only guess that the goal of this anti-teacher brigade is to hurt teachers. Luckily, a site in support of teachers and TEFLWatch has come out.

People Power in Thailand

Big News in Thailand is that the People Power Party has won the election with what appears 228 out of the 480 seats up for grabs. The People Power Party is made up from remnants of the old Thai Rak Thai party that ruled from 2001 until the September 19th Coup that removed Thaksin from office. It was kind of surprising just how many seats they won in the election and it shows just how much support the deposed PM still has.

What is happening next? Who knows, it could be a very tough next few weeks as parties jockey for position and influence in the next government.
