Knoll: A Replacement For Wikipedia?

I have just been doing a little bit of research about Knoll. It’s a new Wikipedia like site put out by Google. Instead of articles that are editable by everyone, the articles on Knoll are from experts, or at least people who purport to have expert credentials. The idea behind this is that the information should be more reliable if people are willing to attach their names and credentials to the articles.

Speaking of articles, there are a lot interesting articles already on Knoll. I am surprised at how quickly the breadth of Knoll’s offerings is growing. I assume that very quickly it will be a serious contender with Wikipedia. For example, there is already a Grand Theft Auto 4 walkthrough on Knoll.

TEFLWatch vs the Trolls

As an update to the trolls on the net post, TEFLWatch, a site that helps teachers even the playing field against unscrupulous employers is under attack by some people who it appears are in the employ of a school. Since the anti-teacher brigade are unable to shut down the site, they have instead resorted to attacking the site by making claims that are filled with lies and deceit. I can only guess that the goal of this anti-teacher brigade is to hurt teachers. Luckily, a site in support of teachers and TEFLWatch has come out.
