Freedom is a special thing. It’s a special thing to know that our freedom is something that can’t be bought, right? Maybe so, but unfortunately it seems that as technology increases, our freedom and our liberty is decreasing.
I like Twitter and I use it often, but it cuts a double edged sword. I give up a little of my personal privacy for the ability to leave updates to my friends and family. I also give up a little of the freedom I have to speak my mind. It easy for anyone to use search engines and found out exactly what you think and your opinions and then use them against you.
And there goes your freedom….

After doing a lot of thinking certification opportunities that exist out there in the IT industry, I have decided that maybe I should get the ball rolling and get out there and get a new IT certification. I think it’s just about time that I take the bull by horns and practice what I have been preaching.
Today, I began to seriously look into Cisco certification. I know it might be a difficult certification for me to get, but it will be a very valuable certification that will pay dividends in the form of a better job. Just the credibility alone of a decent certification will be worth its weight in gold. It will be the perfect complement to my existing IT skills and expertise.
Normally, when I look into certifications and how I can teach myself the material that is taught in them. This works well for software, but since the Cisco certification is about the hardware, I will not be able to just sit at the computer and play around with it until it gets working. Nope, I am going to need to find a training program that goes along with the certification program.
Naturally, I am excited about this. I know that I will be able to keep working as a consultant(with an expanded level of expertise) or I can even take on contract employment to implement and manage Cisco routers and systems. I guess this is what has got me salivating right now. I am really looking forward to the opportunities.

It’s so important these days to look into expanded educational opportunities. It’s a familiar topic that I like to write about because I have seen myself how training can lead to better job opportunities and a better income. Training is the path I choose to take when I moved out of the teaching profession and into my current profession. If I decide to move onto another career, I know I will make the change by first getting quality training.
In the IT realm, training has quickly become synonymous with certification. Certification exams show that you have knowledge and expertise in the area. It’s possible to get that expertise from working on a product or, more often, by taking special training courses that are geared towards passing the certification exam.
Cisco certification is one of the leading tech certifications. If you are not familiar with them, Cisco makes the routers that literally run the internet. These routers make sure that traffic goes where it needs to go. Routers are complex pieces of hardware and it takes an expert to ensure that they are properly configured and are as efficient as possible. Having Cisco certification is proof positive that you have the skills needed to manage and maintain Cisco routers.
It’s a popular certification among techies because it’s the pathway to higher paying jobs and better job opportunities. If you are tech inclined, maybe it’s time you look into Cisco certification. It can be a great credibility builder.

I write a lot of tech articles on this site. For me I just love finding out more about technology and gadgets, but since this is a catch all jack of all trades blog, I don’t get to write as much about technology as I wish.
I have been giving a lot of thought recently to starting up a new Tech Blog. I think I have the name, but since I haven’t registered the name, I will keep the name to myself. Trust me, it’s a cool name. Anyways, I am trying to decide if I have enough time in my schedule for a Tech blog and if I could do tech justice with my writing.
Any ideas?

Earlier I was talking about getting a new cell phone. I’d like to go with a Motorola phone, but I am really open to any brand of phone out there. I am also looking at switching my mobile phone provider and maybe going with a new company. I have a lot to think about, but things are starting to come together thanks to bestincellphones.com.
I am currently using T-Mobile and they have been good for me. I find the service ok and their data plan is adequate. Maybe it is getting a bit dated, but a few years ago, they had the best data plan out there. That’s why I have done some looking at Verizon Wireless since they have an awesome data plan. I like using my cell phone for internet access so they could be a great choice.
I am a bit of a difficult time deciding if at&t will satisfy my needs. I know they are good provider, but I don’t know how they stack up against the competition. I have also done some looking into Sprint. They are supposedly good with data, but I also know they use a different protocol.
Lots to think about, and this is just the providers! I still need to think about a phone. I know my wife will want us to look at the new pink cell phones that seem to be all the rage. Thank goodness that bestincellphones.com has lots of good information to make my search for a new cell phone much easier.

I have been doing a lot of looking recently for a replacement for my Motorola L6. I have been very happy with its performance and its usability since I bought, but I’ve had it for a while and it’s long past the time of getting a replacement.
I will probably pass on my Motorola phone to my nephew because he needs a cellphone and the Motorola L6 cellphone will work great for him. Before I can do that, though, I need to get a new cellphone of my own. I want to go with a new Motorola mobile phone since I really love the way they work, but I am having a hard time finding the perfect model.
I guess that’s why I am posting here. Any ideas?
