Computers have revolutionized the way individuals and small businesses manage their finances. Imagine back 30 years ago when everything was done on paper. It was hard to keep track of everything and just as difficult to have up to the minute reports on how your finances were faring. Computers changed all of this.
Instead of keeping track of financial information with a sharpened pencil and an accounting notebook, computers were able to do all the dirty work, including the math and the balances. The early programs were not without problems. They were clumsy and difficult to use for laypeople, but most of all, they had a steep learning curve. That all changed when Quicken was released.
Quicken made it easy for people like you and me to manage their finances on a computer. If you could write a check or balance a checkbook, then you could take care of the finances for your household and your small business. Quicken made it all possible.
Today there are many different versions of Quicken, but they all share one thing in common, they are easy to use. If you are reading this, you are probably interested in buying it. Well, you are lucky because I found a great Quicken promo code that can save you significant money.
I just love using coupons that can save money online. In fact, I always look for them before I buy.

It’s getting to be Christmas time and that means it’s gift giving time. It also means that I will be looking at cell phones to buy for myself and my wife. Since I am a comparison shopper and I will look for the best deals, I am sure I will compare cell phone deals from many different cell phone companies.
I have several different models that I am looking at, including the BlackBerry Storm, the ATT Blackberry Bold, and the Samsung Instinct. They are all great smart phones and would work well for my wife and me. I like the features that they have and it means that I don’t have to worry about taking a planner around with me.
I have found one site, ifreecellphones.com, which is a really good help for finding great deals on cellphones. I was able to look up the best deals by brand and the best deals by carrier, such as Verizon Wireless. It’s a great way to ensure that I am going to get a great deal on cell phones. That’s important to me because with economy the way it is, saving money is more important than ever.
Now comes the hard part. Do I go with a Sprint Instinct phone that is just awesome. Should I go with Sprint? Or would I be happier going with a
Verizonwireless Storm? I do like Verizon. So many choices and with Christmas fast approaching, can I make up my mind in time?

I am often asked how to get indexed quickly into Google. I am usually pretty good at this and I actually enjoy doing it quite. This is exactly what I did for a friend a week ago on his brand new site. I followed a set procedure that works for me in about 2 days, usually. This time it smashed my 2 day record and the site indexed in just 2 hours.
Amazing, right? I’ll just say how I did it. I guess I should preface this by saying that this was for a straight html page.
The first thing I did was create an rss.xml file (RSS feed) for the single page site and put a link to it from the page.
The second thing I did was write up a post about the site, with suitable links, on a wordpress.com blog that I keep primarily for this basis. I chose the tags for the post carefully. I chose related tags that are quite active on wordpress.com and a few that were less active.
Next, I used a pinging script that I got a year ago for some website. I had it first ping the wordpress.com blog to 23 sites that accept pings. Next I pinged my new site and its RSS feed. I waited about 30 minutes and manually edited my site’s rss.xml file to show an updated post time and then resubmitted the site to the 23 sites that accept pings.
Within two hours of doing the first work, I checked in with Google and sure enough, the site was already indexed. I was shocked! The previous best time had been 2 days.

If you are serious about digital cameras, have you checked out the Nikon D90? It’s an awesome digital camera from Nikon. Instead of being one of the point and click kind, it’s an SLR digital camera. If you know much about photography, SLR cameras are what the pros use. That means when you use it, you get great pictures that really seem to capture the moment. It’s what a camera is supposed to do.

File compression is the tried and true way to make a large file fit in a smaller space. Back in the 1980’s, it was imperative because storage costs were much higher than they are now. In 1990’s, storage costs came down, but with the rise of online files, compressed files were a solution to slow bandwidth. Even today, with flash drives, bandwidth caps, and email attachments, file compression is extremely important.
The most popular form of file compression is the ubiquitous .zip standard. It was invented by a company called PKWARE and is arguably one of the most important file technologies in history. PKWARE has brand new product now called SecureZIP Express. It is a robust .zip technology with the added benefit of encryption. It utilizes strong encryption to keep your files secure. You can find out all about it at www.securezip.com.
To help promote this revolutionary way of encrypting and compressing files, they are running a special contest called Decrypt and Drive. Just install the software and then try to decrypt a message. You can play every day and you have a chance to win some great prizes. You can find out all about it at www.DecryptandDrive.com.
Here’s a press release about it, if you want to find out more information:
PKWARE, the inventor of the .zip standard, is giving away a non-commercial use license of SecureZIP Express and the opportunity to win great prizes in the new “Decrypt and Drive” contest! With SecureZIP Express you can compress/decompress and encrypt files that you store or send. Compressing files is a great way to save storage space, especially on thumb drives and CD’s, and we all have files we should be securing!
The software also includes a digital certificate so you can exchange files securely with others without using passwords. Only the person the file was encrypted for can open it when you use a digital certificate. The software is fully licensed for non-commercial use and has no toolbars or spyware! For years, PKWARE has given free .zip software away and wants as many users as possible to receive the benefits of SecureZIP.
PKWARE is giving away great prizes including a Honda scooter, bicycles, Wii games, gas cards, and more! Visit www.DecryptandDrive.com to play the game daily and/or download the free software. You need to have SecureZIP, and the digital certificate it installs, on the computer you play the game from. You can also get SecureZIP Express at www.securezip.com Good luck! Hope you win something cool!
