One thing I don’t like about the local police is that over the last couple of weeks they have been running a lot of speed traps. I don’t know if it is to generate more revenue or if it’s just the police trying to make people drive safer, but I don’t like it. Years ago I had a radar detector that I would use when doing long trips, but I long ago cast it off. I think I need to take a look at the radar detectors out there and see about getting another one. I think a radar detector is cheaper than a ticket.

I have had a lot of things on my mind that last few days. They have run the whole gamut of emotions and thoughts. It’s kind of interesting about how everything has gone over the last few weeks or so. It all started pretty simple enough with a friend asking me about what kind of prenatal vitamins she should be taking. I got to thinking about life coming into the world as well as the choices we make in this life. Maybe new life growing is the catalyst but having a soul searching experience every once in awhile is a good thing.

It’s April already so that means June is just around the corner. You know what June is, right? Yep, it’s wedding season. It seems like every girl wants to be a June bride. What this means for me and my wife is that we need to start shopping for wedding gifts right now. We need enough time ot make sure that we find a nice gift for each of the weddings that we will have to attend.

One thought I usually keep to myself: How many of the weddings will end in divorce?

A situation the other day brought back some memories of the mid 1990′s when I had my own motorhome. Having an RV was a real feeling of freedom and independence. It really made things relaxing. The only downside was when I’d have a breakdown. If you can’t fix it on the side of the road, then you have to find special rv towing. If you have access to a good service than it’s easy to get taken care of, but if you are not prepared then it can turn into an expensive lesson.

I often think back to helping my grandfather with his horses many years ago. I remember the care he took in taking care of them. I remember years ago that there were only a limited number of horse supplements on the market. Today things have changed dramatically. Now, there are many different kinds of horse supplements out there. I guess this is a boon to those who have horses. There are more ways to keep their horses healthier and happier than ever before. What a good thing thing to keep in mind.
