Have you ever been broke down on the side of the road? I have and it’s not any fun at all. The worst part is the feeling of alone when I am broke down and wondering where I can get help. That why I travel with a roadside assistance plan. I don’t like having to worry about fixing a flat or getting a jump start, I just call on my cell phone and I get the help I need.

Do you have a roadside assistance plan and if so how has it helped you out?

I just heard that the local taxis will be equipped with receipt printers. I think that’s a good thing. I know that years ago they started doing that in Mexico City. At first it was a rare sight to find a taxi with a receipt printer but it didn’t take long before they were more common. It was really handy for me because I could have a printed receipt of what I was paying for my taxis which were reimbursed by my company at the time.

I was thinking about making a trip this spring back to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. I remember the first I made it to Mardi Gras back in the mid 1990′s. I didn’t actually plan to go, I more or less stumbled onto it. I found myself passing through the area right about the time Mardi Gras was on. I stayed in my car because I was cheap back then, but now things are a bit different. If I decide to head down there again, I will have to take a look at decent new orleans lodging. I guess that means I need to start looking now.

A situation the other day brought back some memories of the mid 1990′s when I had my own motorhome. Having an RV was a real feeling of freedom and independence. It really made things relaxing. The only downside was when I’d have a breakdown. If you can’t fix it on the side of the road, then you have to find special rv towing. If you have access to a good service than it’s easy to get taken care of, but if you are not prepared then it can turn into an expensive lesson.

Another thing that I enjoy doing is travel. I love traveling to many different places and I love experiencing a new way of living. I have the travel bug and I won’t ever turn my back on it. It become more joyful every time because I have the right kind of tools to make travel enjoyable. Lately I have been looking at getting a new luggage set and I have to say that their is an Eagle Creek luggage set that I have my eye on. I think it just looks awesome. Hmm, maybe it’s time for some new travel tools!
