Charged by the Kilobyte

I just was reading over on Yahoo news about the guy who got an $85,000 cell phone bill in Canada. It turns out he got himself a new mobile phone with an unlimited mobile web package. He hooked his computer up to the phone and downloaded a lot of stuff. He treated it like his home internet connection, but then the bill came and he was charged by the kilobyte. The package was only unlimited on the phone itself.

And yes I have talked about doing the same thing. That’s why it is so important to read all of the fine print before you go ahead and use a service. Of course, it sounds like his provider sucks. Remind me not to use them if I ever move to Canada.
