Getting back home seems to have gotten a lot more expensive in recent years. Luckily, I have used some good tips to save some good money and the high prices affect me and my family less than it does others.

Always buy your ticket from a consolidator. Frankly, I am flexible with my travel dates so it’s not a problem to book my travel for the cheapest dates. A ticket consolidator, also called a travel wholesaler, has a deal with an airline to book a certain number of seats at a discount price. The discount is passed onto the traveler in the form of a lower price.

How do you find a ticket consolidator? Check out ethnic newspaper. Even if you can’t read the ads, you can still call the agent and get quotes. You can also check out the Sunday travel section in your local newspaper. Give the agents a call and be adamant that you want the lowest price. You’ll get it.
