On several of my websites, I get a lot of visitors who come in from search engines. Yahoo and Google send me many visitors every day who read a post and then move on to another site. It’s a shame because even if someone likes the site, there isn’t an easy way for them to keep track of your newer posts that might interest them.
Ok there are RSS feeds, but many normal web surfers, like my wife, don’t even know what an RSS feed or reader is. They just don’t use RSS feeds. What they do use is email. Everyone has an email address and some people have a half a dozen email accounts. If they get a compelling email then they will check it out.
That’s where Zookoda comes in. It’s an email marketing solution designed for bloggers. Basically, you sign up with Zookoda and then you create a newsletter that sends out your latest blog postings to those who have subscribed to your email list. By just putting a subscription form on your blog, your visitors have an easy way of keeping track of your newest posts.
If you are writing compelling content, this is an awesome way to keep people coming back time and time again. I have used email newsletters on other projects. A simple once a month newsletter detailing the newest articles would always generate a flurry of visits and a resulting increase in income.
I’d suggest looking into Zookoda if you are looking for a way to increase traffic on your site and retain search engine visitors. You’ll quickly appreciate the bump in traffic every time your newsletter goes out.
