Growth Industries

What kind of industries are growing in the US right now? I am curious to know which industries might be poised for a lot of growth in the coming year. History has shown us that even in a recession, there will be sectors that will grow substantially.

History has also shown us that from the depths of a recession, business changes will occur that will propel many companies to financial success. In many ways, a recession will lay the foundation for that growth.

Examples? Internet companies are doing better now than ever before. The dot com bust pushed many companies out and the remaining companies became more sleek and more focused. Now, many of the companies that survived the bust have come out booming.

I am doing a lot of research right now trying to locate which industry might come out of this coming recession with a boom. Any ideas?
