It’s kind of interesting to think about the travel business. I do have a few travel sites, but I have never tried monetizing them to any real degree. The idea of monetizing them just hit me yesterday when I found a hotel affiliate network. All of a sudden it hit me that I could easily monetize the travel sites by putting in hotel affiliate links. What a great way to maximize my revenue?
The travel business is a growing area and it has proven very easy to find the ads that work with my content. For example, if I write up a piece on city attractions, I just insert a link to the city and the hotels in the city. It take very little extra work, but when people are interested in hotels, they know where to look. It’s an easy way to monetize travel.
