Making Mardi Gras Plans?

I was thinking about making a trip this spring back to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. I remember the first I made it to Mardi Gras back in the mid 1990’s. I didn’t actually plan to go, I more or less stumbled onto it. I found myself passing through the area right about the time Mardi Gras was on. I stayed in my car because I was cheap back then, but now things are a bit different. If I decide to head down there again, I will have to take a look at decent new orleans lodging. I guess that means I need to start looking now.
