MLA, Turabian and APA style

AH, I just worked on a super long term paper. Talk about a chore. It was 20 pages long, double spaced on some stupid topic. You know how they are. Your professor thinks of a topic and you have to write the paper on it. It was a major pain in the you know what and I was so glad to get it done and be finished writing it.

That was until I realized that I needed to put the documentation in MLA style. That means I have to search the books to see just how to format the footnotes and my bibliography. Oh and guess what, if you don’t make them perfect then your professor can cut your grade down. How wonderful.

But that isn’t the worst, academia can’t seem to figure out which style they want you to use. They’re coming up with new style or just a new variation. Excuse me, I thought the idea of a standard style is just that, a standard style.
