I have been looking for a plugin that would take the first picture from a page or post in a specific category and/or child-categories to display sort of a thumbnail gallery index or photo directory for the category and the pages beneath (child-pages). The thumbnails would be linked to the page/post that the photo is from. I have no programming experience except for college courses that briefly touched on this. But I have been looking in to writing it myself. If you could write this I would very much appreciate it because it will take me a while to climb the learning curve to do this on my own. It would be a good idea for a new version of a search plugin. Basically, it would take the search output and then only display the categories that are checked. That is interesting.
