Saving Real Silver Money

I have been trying to hedge my savings lately against inflation. By lately I am talking the last two years. It’s worked out really for me in buying a silver morgan dollar or two every pay day. They hold their value rather well and have more than double in value since I started putting my savings into them. I like how they represent real money that I can hold in my hand. It’s different than keeping it in the banks or in other paper investments.

Feedback On Online Learning Opportunities?

I was looking at a couple of different opportunities out there to better myself with online learning opportunities. I was wondering any of you all have ever taken a course online and how did it work out for you?

I would love to see some reviews of different online courses and training programs. I know a lot of people are benefiting from them lately, but I’d love to hear about specific programs.

Also I’d like to know what kind of technology was used to deliver the courses and if it was useful or not.

If I can get enough feedback here, I will write a post about what has been discussed.

Putting My Nephew Through Welding School

My wife and I have decided to put our nephew through welding school as a way to train him in a trade that can earn him money. It’s a good way to help him help himself. It means buying him supplies to get started as well. Of course we’ll pick him up a cheap arc welder to practice on, but we’ll also get him a welding mask and one of those special welding jackets as well as a good pair of leather gloves. I really want him to be prepared and make a good move.

Can Technology Turn Things Around?

Can technology turn things around? This is a question I am asking myself a lot lately. I see that a lot of the typical web stuff are just time killers and I see that they have no chance of helping the economy in either the short or long term. That said there are other emerging technologies that can turn things around.

I see that we could revolutionize a lot of the ways we are doing things by making things more local. That means more home power generation, more sane energy production methods, and more efficient food production. New emerging technologies can make this possible.

This is a new area that I am going into and hope that I can make a positive change. We are on the cusp of a big change and we can make it happen.

Threaded Inserts Save Me Again

I remember years ago when I have a bolt stripped out of my car, I was able to find some threaded inserts to attempt to get it fixed once again. I never forgot how beneficial they are. Just the other day I was once again confronted with a problem and the solution was the same for what I had before, a threaded insert. My hat’s off to the inventor of them.
