Scores dead in Manila Stampede

This is a sad, sad, sad, commentary on the current economic situation in the Philippines. Scores dead because of the situation has become so desperate for people throughout the Philippines. Everyone knows that Gloria is the one to blame for this, but she likes to claim that she is a nice woman and really cares about the people.

If GMA cared about people, she would reduce taxes on the poor. Instead she has raised taxes to pay for expenses that benefit the rich. The only reason why the e-vat was enacted was because the rich were failing to pay their fair share of taxes and the government needed to appease business leaders. The hell with the people.

Maybe the people will wake up to what they are allowing their government to get away with but I suspect it won’t. When the media starts to rile people up with fake problems and news, people listen. But when the media stays quiet or is supportive of the problem, the people just stay docile. The media is the problem.
