If you haven’t made the switch to digital and you still rely on an antenna for local TV reception then by 2009, you will have a problem. See TV broadcasters will stop their analog traditional TV broadcasts in favor in digital. This means your TV won’t work anymore unless you have a converter. Starting January 1st, 2008, you can buy TV converters at most retail outlets but they cost money.
Luckily the government will provide coupons that will let you buy a converter for no cost. You just have to register for a coupon on the government site.
