String Theory Part III

(This is continued from String Theory Part II) In fact, recent calculations based on the string theory have actually predicted that there are a nearly infinite number of parallel universes. Parallel universes could be like our own or they could be very different. This is is the stuff of science fiction and at least a few physicists have started calling it as if it was a quasi-science religion. None the less, many physicists have put years of dedicated work into it and feel that the string theory represents the best opportunity they have to describe the universe in a few short equations.

Which puts us back at the introduction. The string theory is believed to describe the entire cosmos in just a few short equations and that all matter is but vibrating strings. In many ways, it is science’s answer to the Christian belief that the cosmos can be described in a few short verses. And scientifically proving either theory has been just as elusive as the other.
