More Saturday Projects

Well, tomorrow is Saturday so that means another Saturday project day. It means getting around the house and getting some of that work done that I wasn’t able to do during the week. It seems like it’s getting to be time to get some projects started in earnest now that Spring is just around the corner.

My wife and I are going to be putting in a garden this year so we should be getting started on that. We need to know where will put it and maybe we can mark it off. Landscaping work around the house is also on the agenda for Saturday.

I really like these Saturday projects because they help me focus in on the things that need to be done. This way it is easier to get ahead and not fall behind on our projects.

Project Progress

The hardest thing about doing projects is trying to avoid wasting time. It’s sometimes so difficult to keep projects going when other little day to day issues come up. Do I deal with the issue and neglect the project or trudge through on the project? Unfortunately, I’ve been neglecting my projects.

I wish I had an easy way to avoid doing this. Some of my projects are way overdue and it seems like there is no chance for me to catch up on them. In fact, it seems I am getting further behind every day. I suppose I could begin dedicating a day to finishing projects?

I have decided to do something better. I am not doing anymore writing jobs. The custom writing I have been doing has been cutting into my time to do other projects and that means less money in my pocket in the long run.

I guess I’ll see how this change goes.

Dealing with Deadlines

Lately I have been finding it very hard to deal with deadlines. I don’t know why things are so different over the last several weeks, but things that used to be so important are now a lot less important. This means that no matter how hard I try to re-prioritize things, I just can’t get it done.

The upshot is that I am starting to examine the way I have been prioritizing things. I am hoping that once I am able to do this and see how I have been handling projects, maybe I will see how I can better deal with the deadlines of those projects.

I think one casualty of this will be that I will be declining more projects that I previously would have been putting a lot more effort into. It also means that I am going to be focusing on just a few websites that I hope will become profitable. It’s a big leap of faith, but if I can do it, it might become very profitable for us. And hopefully worrying about deadlines will become a thing of the past.
