It's not associated with any negative health consequences whatsoever. To compare the excessive doses used in adulterated cocaine and then snorted up the nose or burnt and inhaled like crack...to compare that to coca leaves is silly. There's no comparison. Coca leaves are quite beneficial. It was even legal to use in Coca-Cola at one time, hence the name. (Even today, flavoring from the coca plant is used in Coca-Cola products, giving it its unique flavor that no other cola can match) No one was a "coke fiend" drinking Coca-Cola in 1905. lol Bolivia is not full of "coke fiends". It's like the difference between guzzling 190 proof Everclear and having a glass of wine at dinner. One is dangerous and even deadly in the long term, while the other has some health benefits. There are actually a lot of good uses for hemp, and it thrives in conditions other crops won't. But certainly mellow hippies aren't convincing. Get a coke fiend in front of your face- "endorse coca or I'll snap your narco neck!" -that might be a little more convincing- or has this already happened to you? you know the hippies who go around telling all the wonderful uses for weed, yeah right.
