Things are heating up in the political world. I guess it’s hardly surprising since the presidential election is just around the corner. It’s our once every 4 years popularity contest where we choose a new person to lead us down the path of ruin. We get to hear each side tell us how they will do better than the other side and why we should vote for them over their opponent.
In other words, it’s the same old, same old. And this same old, same old has got me glued to the TV. Between Fox News and MSNBC, there is enough partisan politics to get about any person’s blood boiling, no matter which side they support.
I am going to vote for McCain this time around. I think that Republicans, good or bad, have the best plans for the future of America, both on cultural and economic issues that are important to me. Is he any different than any other politician? Probably not. But face it, he’s a war hero married to a beer distributor. That’s as good as any reason.
