I am using the Verizon UM150 modem to access the internet these days. It’s kind of an amazing little device that gives internet access wherever there is a cell phone signal. This means that I have internet basically anywhere my laptop is. It also comes with an micro sd slot so that I can put it in memory cards and use it like a portable drive. That’s really a bonus. If you are looking for a decent type of EVDO modem, it might be the one you need. It sure is nice having internet access anywhere.

I use a Pantech PX-500 USB modem which is flashed to be a PC5750. Verizon uses this one as well. It is only $50 or $60 and is EVDO Rev A.
